Miss (Your) Fire

Miss (Your) Fire

Since you've been gone
        I've been playing with sparks;
But nothing else burns like you did.

My life's been lacking focus
        like peering through smoke;
From the inferno that you ignited.

I tried to put out the flames
        but they just keep on burning;
Growing higher and overwhelming.

I've tried lighting others
        to fight the fire with itself;
But those flames of yours repel me.
